There was no uncertainty in Podgorica - the Buducnost Bemax women's basketball team convincingly (98:41) defeated Zagreb in the fifth round of the WABA League.
It was clear from the start that this was a duel of unequal rivals, so we just waited to see by what margin Petar Stojanović's team would celebrate.
Budućnost entered the game focused and after only 10 minutes they were up 22 - 31:9. The only period of the game when the guests from Croatia were able to match their opponents to any extent was the second quarter, which the "wolves" won 19:13.
Zorana Radonjić, Nikolina Ilić and Jovana Savković each scored 15 points, Dillane Byrne added 12, and Ksenija Šćepanović added 10.
Buducnost has three wins and one loss in the WABA League. Before Zagreb, they were better than Rilski (86:54) and Partizan (66:53), and their only defeat was in a duel with Montana (88:82).
