Last week, Primorje's basketball team defeated Radnički from Kragujevac (96:76) and recorded their first victory in history in the ABA2 league, and tomorrow (18) they will host Široki on home court, as part of the third round of the regional competition.
Meanwhile, Pavle Roganović's team defeated Dečić (97:88) in the domestic championship and recorded their fourth victory in as many league matches, so they are in a good mood awaiting the match against Široki.
"After a great game against Radnički last Wednesday, we have entered a good rhythm and are welcoming Široki's team with a lot of enthusiasm. We know a lot about our opponents, with three excellent American players. The players who carry the game are players who have extensive experience playing in the ABA League. I hope for the energy we showed against Kragujevac and I hope for the support from the stands, which is certainly important for the boys. Another victory in ABA 2 would be an extraordinary success. We have the right to hope for a good outcome," said Novljan coach Pavle Roganović.
Both teams are at half-time after two rounds of the ABA2 competition.
"We have a game ahead of us against a very high-quality team from Široki. We are aware of the challenge that awaits us, but it is precisely such games that are the best test for our team. We are entering the game maximally motivated, with the desire to show how much we can do and to fight for every point and every ball. We know that Široki has a slight advantage in quality and experience, but we believe in our work, togetherness and the energy we bring. Our goal is to do our best, play bravely and show the true face of Primorje," said Novljan basketball player Nikola Rakočević.
