Podgorica's basketball players failed to win even in the third match in the ABA 2 League - Miodrag Kadija's team lost to Jahorina tonight in Pale - 91:84.
The question of the winner was resolved at the beginning of the last quarter, when the home team went on a 10:0 run, took a 75:65 lead and maintained the advantage until the end.
Podgorica started the match well, after a 7:0 run they led 17:9, and after a point from Denil Krnić they had the maximum plus nine - 23:14. However, the finish of the first quarter belonged to Jahorina, who, thanks to a good three-point shot, but also to Podgorica's mistakes at the end of the first quarter, turned the game around - 25:24.
Thanks to Sinisa Šorak, Podgorica had a plus five lead midway through the second quarter (32:27), but Jahorina tied the game (32:32), then turned the tables and went into the break with a six-point lead - 44:38.
The home team maintained the lead until the middle of the third quarter, when Podgorica took a 54:49 lead after a 10:0 run, but failed to maintain the lead, so after 30 minutes it was 65:65.
And then the match was turned around at the beginning of the last quarter, when Jahorina scored 10 points, reached a double-digit lead for the first time (75:65) and ultimately recorded their second victory.
The most efficient player for Podgorica was Šorak with 18 points. Lacmanović had 16, Ćurevac 15, and Ivanovic 10 points.
For Jahorina, Graham had 20, followed by Ilić with 17 and Gutalj with 15 points.
Podgorica will host Student in the next round, while Jahorina will play away against MZT.
