Chicago had a seesaw result throughout the entire match against Washington - 121:120, and Nikola Vučević was once again the best on the floor.
The Montenegrin center scored 28 points (20-12 from the field), with 12 rebounds, but nine of them were offensive. He also had two assists and made only one free throw.
He also had great help from Josh Giddy, who recorded a triple-double with 18 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, putting Chicago on nine wins from 16 games.
Denver slipped unexpectedly against Sacramento in front of its fans - 123:128.
Nikola Jokić played well again in vain, with 44 points (16/22 for two, 3/6 for three, 9/10 free throws), 13 rebounds and seven assists in 36 minutes. The starters were missing in the absence of Aaron Gordon and Christian Brown, and the guests were led to the triumph by Russell Westbrook, who was waived by David Adelman this summer.
The veteran scored 21 points, along with 11 assists and six rebounds, and had great help from Dennis Schroeder with 21 points, Keegan Murray 19, DeRozan 17, LaVine 15 and Monk with 12 points.
