Gligorije Rakočević is the new basketball player for Podgorica Bemaks, the club announced.
Rakočević, who is 211 centimeters tall, plays as a center, and by arriving in Podgorica, he returns to Montenegrin basketball after playing in Lovćen and Mornar.
He played in America, at Oregon College, and in four seasons, he played 112 games and recorded 394 points, 289 rebounds, 19 assists, 21 blocks and the same number of steals.
He signed his first professional contract in 2019 with Lovćen, after which he played in the Czech Republic, where he played for Usti Nad Labem.
He played for Lovćen in the ABA 2 league, while he played in the ABA league for the first time in the Mornar jersey.
He also played for Turkish Haremspor, Polish teams Przemyśl Torun and Zielona Gora, Alba Fehervar, Afrikain club from Tunisia, while since September he has been in Iran, where he wore the Tabiat jersey.
In eight games in the Iranian Super League, he averaged 10,1 points and 7 rebounds per game.
