This generation of Partizan basketball players faced what was practically unimaginable - to have their backs turned by their fans, some of the most loyal in this sport in the world.
The audience in the Belgrade Arena has spoken - they are not reconciled to the departure, nor to the way in which legendary coach Željko Obradović left.
Obradović left the club eight days ago, then there was uncertainty and hope that he would return to the bench, but nothing came of it.
Fans blame the players themselves and the club's management, led by president Ostoja Mijailović, for the poor results, as was demonstrated tonight before and during the Euroleague duel with Bayern.
The audience booed the players during their warm-up, introductions, and practically every time they touched the ball, called Mijailović (who was not in the hall) derogatory names, and cheered for Obradović almost the entire time.
"We are all Željko," read a banner on the stands where the most ardent supporters of the "black and whites" are.
Partizan eventually defeated Bayern 92:85 with a very good performance in the second half with 22 points from Dwayne Washington and 21 with 10 rebounds from Tyreke Jones.
He ended a three-game losing streak and achieved his fifth triumph in the elite competition.
