The only team that is undefeated in the ABA2 league so far this season is Sutjeska Elektroprivreda. The team from Nikšić has defeated Široki Brijeg, MZT and Radnički from Kragujevac, and with good games they want to continue in the 4th round - tonight at 18 pm they welcome Zlatibor. A possible triumph would bring Marko Simonović's team one step closer to qualifying for the playoffs.
The match in Nikšić is also the derby of this round. Zlatibor is 2-1, after defeating Jahorina and Borac from Banja Luka, and losing to Student. The team from Serbia won the ABA2 league three years ago, but due to the national key had to play a play-off in which they were defeated by Borac from Čačak.
- We have a tough game against Zlatibor. They are a team with very high individual quality, they are experienced, they know how to play. I don't think it will be easy at all. We must not allow them to play in transition, to shoot a lot of three-pointers. If they get us into that rhythm, we could be in trouble - said Simonović.
Simonović has no problems with the lineup.
- All the players are healthy, I hope it will stay that way in the future. We prepared to the maximum, we want to win. I would also invite the fans to come in as many numbers as possible, their presence means a lot. The atmosphere against MZT was great, they helped us and I thank them very much for that. I hope that the atmosphere against Zlatibor will be even better and that there will be even more people in the stands - added Simonović.
Before this match, and after the international break, Sutjeska lost to SC Derbi (91:77) in the domestic championship, while Zlatibor was defeated by Vojvodina (93:81), which was their first defeat in the Serbian Basketball League (KLS), where they have nine wins.
The team from Nikšić has never defeated tonight's rival in a regional competition, they were defeated in all four duels.
- Zlatibor is a good team. We scouted them, we know where the biggest threat comes from. I hope we will be focused, aggressive and that we will record another victory. I hereby invite the fans to come and support us. They are an important factor, their support would mean a lot to us - said Sutjeska basketball player Bogdan Bojić.
As for other Montenegrin teams, Mornar will play their fourth round match tomorrow (18) in Tuzla against Sloboda, while Primorje 1945 and Podgorica Bemax played before the international break.
Primorje was defeated away from home by Helios (86:56), while Podgorica lost at home to Student (73:63).
