Tomorrow (18) at the "Mejdan" hall in Tuzla, Mornar's basketball players will visit Sloboda in the fourth round of the ABA2 league.
Mihailo Pavićević's team has defeated Student and Vršac in the regional competition season so far, and lost to Jahorina, while Sloboda is at 1-2, having been defeated by Helios and Vojvodina, and having beaten Podgorica.
"We're taking it step by step. As the season progresses, I think we'll play better. We're not putting pressure on the players, and I think they've felt it too, so they're playing better games in that mood. I simply ask them to give their all on the field, and God willing," said Mornar coach Mihailo Pavicevic.
Mornar had personnel problems during the season.
"The players have recovered from injuries, and I was injured too. We're trying to get into a rhythm, the chemistry is good and that will help us prepare as best as we can and try to get a win," said Rams player Alston Mason.
One of Sloboda's assets is Vladimir Tomašević, a former player for Sutjeska and Podgorica, who is averaging 17,3 points and eight rebounds in the regional competition this season.
"We are facing a demanding match against a quality team from Mornar. Our goal is to continue the good rhythm, impose our game from the first minute and be maximally disciplined in defense. If we respond with energy and concentration throughout the entire 40 minutes, I believe we can achieve the desired result. I hereby invite the audience to come to Mejdan and be the wind at our backs," said Tomašević.
When it comes to other Montenegrin teams, Sutjeska will host Zlatibor tonight (18), while Primorje 1945 and Podgorica Bemax played their fourth round matches before the international break.
Primorje was defeated away from home by Helios (86:56), while Podgorica lost at home to Student (73:63).
