As the season progresses, Montenegrin basketball player Vladimir Mihailović is playing excellently and confirming that he is the leader of Zadar.
That was the case last weekend, when Zadar defeated Vienna (98:78) at home in the ninth round of the AdmiralBet ABA League. Mihailović played an excellent match, and was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the previous round in the regional competition.
In 30 minutes on the court, Mihailović scored 42 points (10/19 from the field, 7/9 for three-pointers) against Vienna, and had three more rebounds and two assists for a utility index of 42.
This is the Montenegrin basketball player's second game in his career in a regional competition in which he has scored more than 40 points. Three years ago, he scored 46 points in a Mornar jersey against Mega, which was an ABA League record at the time.
Mihailović's record was later broken by then-Mariner basketball player Deron Fats Russell, who scored 47 points against Zadar in October 2022.
Mihailović is averaging 20,6 points, 3,1 rebounds and 2,4 assists in the regional competition this season.
