Oklahoma City's basketball team advanced to the NBA Cup semifinals after defeating Phoenix in the quarterfinals last night on their home court with a convincing 138:89.
With this win, Oklahoma tied Golden State's record from the 2015-16 season with a score of 24/1 to start the season. In addition, Oklahoma also set a franchise record with its 16th consecutive victory.
The most efficient player in the winning team was Shay Gilges-Alexander with 28 points, for whom this was the 96th consecutive game with at least 20 points, and he was best followed by Chet Holmgren who added 24 points and eight rebounds.
On the other side, the best was Dillon Brooks with 16 points.
Oklahoma City will play San Antonio in the NBA Cup semifinals in Las Vegas, which celebrated a 132-119 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers this morning.
The Spurs were led to victory by Stephon Castle, who scored 21 of his 30 points in the second half, while Dearon Fox added 20. Luka Doncic was the best player for the Lakers with 35 points, Marcus Smart scored 26, and LeBron James had 19 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists.
In the second semi-final of the NBA Cup, teams from the East - New York and Orlando - will meet.
