Red Star Belgrade basketball players were defeated away from Paris tonight 102:92 (28:18, 23:28, 28:12, 23:34), in the 18th round of the Euroleague.
The best player for Red Star was Jared Butler with 31 points, while Cody Miller-McIntyre also stood out with 18 points and Chima Moneca with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Paris was led to victory by Justin Robinson with 16, Nadir Hifi with 15 and Lamar Stevens with 14 points.
Red Star is in 10th place in the standings with 10 wins and eight losses, and Paris is in 17th position with six wins and 12 losses.
Paris entered the match better, leading 9:4, but Red Star came back with a 7:0 run and went into the first television timeout with a two-point lead (11:9).
After the timeout, the "red and white" stopped, allowed Paris a 19:7 run until the end of the quarter, and went into the first break with a ten-point deficit (28:18).
Ibuka Izundu committed three fouls in the first half, which posed an additional problem for Red Star.
At the start of the second quarter, Paris was up 14, but after points from Miller-McIntyre and Moneke in the middle of the second quarter, Red Star came within five points of the deficit (39:34, and the Paris coach called a timeout.
After a timeout, Paris managed to stop the Red Star's onslaught and the home team went into the break with a five-point lead of 51:46.
After less than a minute of play, Paris again reached a double-digit lead with a 5:0 run, but Red Star managed to come back and in the middle of the third quarter, after new points from Moneke, they came within four points of the deficit (59:55).
Once again, the Paris coach called a timeout, and once again, Paris reacted better after a minute of rest, and after a 12:3 run, they again reached a double-digit lead (71:58), and after six consecutive points by Stevens, they reached a convincing plus 19.
The third quarter ended with a dunk by Faye and Paris entered the final quarter with a 21-point lead, 79:58.
Panathinaikos basketball players defeated Žalgiris 92:85 (19:18, 21:22, 23:14, 29:21) tonight on the away court in Kaunas.
Panathinaikos was led to victory by Jeddi Osman with 22 and Kendrick Nunn with 21 points, followed by TJ Shorts with 15 points and 10 assists.
For Zalgiris, Moses Wright was better than the others with 22 points and six rebounds.
Fenerbahçe basketball players defeated Barcelona 72:71 (17:13, 18:20, 18:19, 19:19) in Istanbul.
The most efficient players for Fenerbahce were Taylen Horton-Tucker and Tarik Biberovic with 16 points each and Wade Baldwin with 15 points.
Kevin Panter with 20 and Dario Brizuela with 19 points stood out for Barcelona.
