Danilovgrad's basketball players achieved their second away win of the season - in the 11th round of the First A Montenegrin League, they celebrated tonight in Cetinje against Lovćen 75:70. This is the fourth consecutive defeat in the championship for coach Petar Jovanović's team, after they opened the season with six wins.
After Danilovgrad's better start, Lovćen soon took control, although not by too much of a margin. After a brief turnaround by the visitors in the second quarter, Cetinje played better again and ended the half with a 9:0 run for a 46:36 lead. The game was played in series, and Danilovgrad managed to tie the game and quickly take the lead 65:63, with less than five minutes left. Lovćen managed to come within a point of the deficit on two occasions, but failed to prevent their second home defeat in a row.
For Danilovgrad, the most efficient player was Đorđije Tatar with 19 points, and for the home team, Milutin Đukanović with 21 points, while Miloš Latković had 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Podgorica Bemax achieved an important triumph, on their home court against Dečić - 83:72. Coach Miodrag Kadija's team was focused from the start and already in the first quarter reached a double-digit lead (26:11), which the guests only reduced by halftime (44:36).
However, Podgorica was more confident in the rest of the game and maintained a double-digit lead almost the entire time, and the most that Decic managed to reduce was to a six-point deficit in the third, and then a seven-point deficit in the final quarter.
The best players in the winning team were Danilo Ivanović with 16 points and 8 assists, and Haris Ćurevac with 14 points and 7 assists, while Siniša Šorak also scored 14 points. Aleksandar Bogojević scored 21 points for Dečić's team.
Ibar defeated SC Derbi 87:72 in Rožaje, after controlling the game the entire time, with a maximum of 16 points in the first half, and a 22-point difference in the second.
Eldin Huremović scored 25 points for the home team, and Matija Tomašević had 16 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Studenati.
There are two more games left in the 11th round, Kotor - Mornar on Wednesday, and Vukovi Zeta - Teodo on Thursday.
Two games of the 11th round were played earlier, and in those matches Jedinstvo won against Sutjeska in Nikšić (83:79), and Primorje was better away from home than Ulcinj (85:72).
