SC Derbi is on a five-game losing streak in the ABA League, and in the 12th round they face an away game where it is not realistic to end their losing streak.
The "students" will play their last match in 2025 in Romania against Cluj on Friday at 20 p.m.
"We are playing against an exceptional offensive team, a team with top talent and quality. Our situation is as it is and it is very important for us to be tough, aggressive and play well in the duel with the favorite," said coach Petar Mijović.
SC Derbi has recorded two victories in its last 10 games, both at home - against Split and Krka.
"We still have personnel problems, but that must not be an alibi. On the contrary, we need to find motivation," Mijović added.
The latest addition to the Podgorica team, Nikola Šaranović, believes that Derby can compete with a team that has so far recorded seven triumphs in the regional competition.
"Cluj is playing in great form and is great on its home field. Against a team like this, we have to be concentrated for the entire 40 minutes, both in defense and attack. We will do our best to end the losing streak," emphasized Šaranović.
