Ahead of the Croatian champions' away game, a reaction from the "blue" camp is essential. Coach Andrej Žakelj is aware of this, and he is looking for toughness and aggressiveness in the game.
"The first thing is to show reaction. I think we all know how we should behave in the game. Zadar plays good basketball, with a lot of contact and playing in the low post. Without toughness, aggression and contact, you can't play against them, but you can't play against anyone. We have to focus on our game, not the opponent's game, and to be much better than in the previous game," said Žakelj.
There must be no relaxation in Croatia.
"Zadar is a very experienced and strong team, so we expect them to play very hard. We have to respond in kind and be even harder than them. It is also important to play fast, because they have a lot of experienced, older players. I think those will be two key factors for victory," said Oleksandar Kovlijar.
The Ukrainian national team player knows what to expect from his rivals.
"I expect a slower and more patient game from them, through set attacks, with toughness and playing in the low post. We will certainly prepare well for that style of play," concluded Kovlijar.
