On the second day of the weekend in the 14th round of the First A Basketball League, the favorites did not allow for any surprises - Primorje and Jedinstvo achieved away victories last night, as did Dečić in the derby at the back over Vukovi Zeta.
Primorje continues a memorable season, with only two league losses so far, in derbies against Jedinstvo and Sutjeska. After the defeat in Nikšić, the team from Novalja has tied four wins, the last one away against Teodo - last night it was 103:95. The Boka Kotor derby brought the game to a standstill, so the team from Tivat played the first quarter better (30:22), only for Primorje to respond in the second (32:18), for a half-time lead - 54:48.
The game continued to be tied again, with Teodo managing to take the lead three times during the third quarter, and in the fourth they had a draw for the last time with seven minutes left, after which Primorje controlled the lead and increased it enough to avoid an uncertain ending.
Aleksandar Danilović was the best player for the guests with 26 points and nine rebounds, Vanja Gazibegović scored 23 points, Nikola Rakočević 20, while Ognjen Mićović recorded 15 assists. In the Teoda team, Jaden Turner was the most efficient with 20 points.
Jedinstvo continued to follow the team from Novalja, with only one more defeat (as did Sutjeska, which suffered its fourth defeat of the season against SC Derbi, and these results are not counted in the final standings). The team from Bijelo Polje celebrated an away win against Ibar 93:85. Rožaje saw an even first half in which both teams were in an attacking mood, so the score was 50:52 at halftime. In the third quarter, Jedinstvo managed to take a double-digit lead, which they maintained until the end of the third quarter (78:65), and in the last quarter they settled everything when they took a 21-point lead (89:68), with more than six minutes left.
Milan Lužajić was the most efficient player for Bijelopolje with 27 points, and former young national team player Marko Kljajević scored 21 and had 10 rebounds. In the Ibra team, the most efficient player was former Jedinstvo player Nenad Vuković with 26 points.
In the last match of the day, in the derby of the bottom team, Dečić defeated the Vukovi Zeta team 101:95 as a guest and thus tied with the Zeta team in the standings with four wins each, with the Vukovi having a game less. The match was evenly played until the middle of the second quarter, when after the score was 34:34 the guests partially made 16:4 for a 12-point difference, but the home team reduced that to four points by the break (51:55). Later on, Dečić managed to go up 10 again, but the Vukovi briefly turned things around in the last quarter, so that in the finals the guests were more confident and came away with an important victory.
It was known that Dečić would be pleased with the return of Marko Koljević from the 3x3 tour, and the leader of Tuzan confirmed this by scoring 25 points with seven assists, while for the home team, Luka Kovačević scored 24 points with eight rebounds.
