Fenerbahçe basketball club has extended the contract with coach Šarūnas Jasikevičius for another three years. "Šarūnas Jasikevičius is one of the people who has contributed the most to the historic successes we have achieved. We want this agreement to be beneficial for the club and our head coach, and we hope for seasons filled with victories and titles," Fenerbahçe said in a post on the social network X.
Jasikevicius, who was appointed Fenerbahce coach in December 2023, led the Turks to the Euroleague title last season.
The Lithuanian also won the "Aleksandar Gomeljski" award for the best coach in the Euroleague for the 2024/2025 season.
Fener is fifth in the Euroleague standings this season with 13 wins and seven losses.
