Denver basketball players defeated New Orleans 122:116 on the away court.
The key basket of the game was scored by Peyton Watson with 39 seconds left, and he finished the game with 31 points, seven rebounds and five assists. The most efficient player for Denver was Jamal Murray with 35 points and nine assists.
Trey Murphy led New Orleans with 31 points, but New Orleans suffered its 11th loss in its last 12 games. Murphy's layup tied the score at 114-114 with a minute left, but then Watson and Aaron Gordon gave Denver the lead, while Murray confirmed the victory with free throws.
Denver is second in the Western Conference with 27 wins and 13 losses, and New Orleans is 15th in the same conference with nine wins and 33 losses.
Defending champion Oklahoma City defeated San Antonio 119:98 at home, led by Shay Gilges-Alexander with 34 points.
Oklahoma recorded its first win against San Antonio in four head-to-head matches this season.
Jaylen Williams added 20 points, while Chet Holmgren had eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocks for Oklahoma, which is at the halfway point of the season at a league-best 34/7 record and on track to repeat last year's 68/14 record.
For San Antonio, Stephon Castle scored 20 points, while Victor Wembanyama had 17 points and seven rebounds.
