Virtus basketball player Saliou Niang is the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 22nd round of the Euroleague.
Virtus defeated Dubai away on Thursday (80:72), and Niang spent 31 minutes on the court and had 17 points and 17 rebounds during that time. In doing so, he tied the club record for the number of rebounds in the Euroleague, which has been held by Rashar Griffith since 2001.
The Virtus player added three more assists and two steals for a utility index of 35.
Niang is averaging seven points and 5,1 rebounds in the Euroleague this season.
Virtus is in 12th place in the Euroleague with 11 wins and 11 losses, and next week they will host Red Star Belgrade and play Monaco in a double round of the Euroleague.
