Nothing has changed in the duels between Budućnost Voli and Cedevita Olimpija in recent seasons.
As usual, the Podgorica team won, continuing their series in the ABA League against the team chosen by our coach Zvezdan Mitrović - they triumphed 83:72 in "Stožice" for their seventh consecutive triumph in Group B.
"The Blues" thus took first place in the standings with 11 wins, and have two points, one less than tonight's rival, Red Star.
The home team opened the derby well and took a 5:0 lead, but after that, Buducnost was in control of the score, quickly finding an attacking rhythm and easily breaking through the "Dragons" defense.
Cedevita had a one-point lead at halftime (40:39), and in the third quarter it reached its biggest lead - 52:44. It wasn't long before Budućnost got back into the game, briefly taking the lead with a basket by Andrija Slavković in the last minute (58:57).
Slavković gave the "blues" a plus three (67:64) with seven minutes left, and the home team's reaction in the next two minutes was very good, so Andrej Žakelj had to call a timeout halfway through the last period because the home team took a 6:0 run to take a 70:67 lead.
Đorđije Jovanović tied the match with his third three-pointer after a timeout (70:70) and everything was in Buducnost's hands until the end.
Jerry Frank Butziel opened a series of good offensive moves, and Yogi Ferrell sealed the victory with five consecutive points, bringing the score to an unattainable 81:72 with 48 seconds left.
Thus, the Podgorica team continued to dominate in the duels with the Slovenian team - this is their fifth triumph in a row in head-to-head matches, ninth in the last 10.
