The standings are not looking good for SC Derby basketball players - only two wins in 13 matches in Group A of the ABA League are enough for last place. No one in the Podgorica club believed that this could happen, but the "students" still have time to fix things.
And they have nothing to wait for. If they want to do that, they need to win, something they haven't had since October 30th last year, and the first chance to end their eight-game losing streak is today in Laktaši.
The chosen ones Petar Mijović They will visit Igokei (18 p.m.) and will try to get a very important victory in the fight for survival.
- Igokea is a team that has been at the top of the ABA League for years. After several changes to the roster in the last few games, it looks very good. On the other hand, we want to be more consistent than in previous matches. We will try to follow the game plan and make the match uncertain with discipline in completing tasks. If we succeed in that, then in such circumstances we are looking for a chance for an extremely important victory - said Mijović.
SC Derbi has lost all six matches away from the "M:tel Morača Hall" this season, and the only teams it has defeated are Split and Krka in the third and fifth rounds, respectively.
- We have results that we did not expect. That is why every next game is extremely important for us in order to try to achieve success. We are playing away against a very good team, which has shown that it can compete with anyone and that it has the quality to deal with even the strongest teams. We are looking for our chances to win, but we have to exploit the weaknesses that we have seen that Igokea has - said the trump card of SC Derby Mateo Drežnjak.
Igokea has won seven games so far, and suffered its fifth defeat on Friday against Partizan. The team that leads Nenad Stefanovic celebrated 90:84 in the first part of the season in “Morača”.
