Duško Ivanovic's Virtus lost to Fenerbahçe in Bologna 85:80 (22:25, 18:22, 25:13, 20:20), in the last game of the 23rd round of the Euroleague.
The duel in the "Segafredo Arena" was marked by a dramatic finish, ultimately a deserved victory for the team of Šarūnas Jasikėvičius, who controlled the score in the second half, leading almost the entire time.
The Turkish team was led to victory by Taylen Horton Tucker with 28 points and three assists, Tarik Biberović scored 15 points and six rebounds, while Nando de Colo scored 12 points.
Ivanovic's team was not helped by the great performance of Carsen Edwards, who scored 35 points. Derrick Allston and Matthew Morgan each had 14 points and four rebounds.
Fenerbahçe is in second place in the Euroleague with 15 wins and seven losses, while Virtus is in 11th place with a score of 11/12.
Virtus welcomes Red Star Belgrade in the next round on Friday, while Fenerbahçe plays against Baskonia at home.
