Valencia basketball player Jean Montero was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 27th round of the Euroleague today.
In the game against Hapoel Tel Aviv, which his team won 104:94 after overtime, Montero recorded 29 points, eight assists, four rebounds, seven forced fouls and a utility index of 38, the highest of any player in the previous round.
This is the Dominican point guard's first EuroLeague MVP award in his career, making him the fifth player in Valencia's history to be named the most valuable player of the competition.
After Montero, the highest utility index in the previous round was held by Olympiacos winger Saša Vezenkov with 31 index points.
Next are Monaco point guard Mike James with 29 index points, Efes guard Jordan Lloyd with 27 index points, and Zalgiris center Ažuolas Tubelis with 26 index points.
