Hapoel Tel Aviv is in a results crisis, and the team suffered the latest in a series of defeats last night in the Israeli championship against their namesake from Jerusalem (105:91).
Last year's Eurocup winner has only recorded one victory in his last seven games in all competitions, and that was in the domestic championship after extra time against Hapoel Beer Sheva.
And when it comes to the Euroleague alone, Hapoel is without a win in four games in a row.
This has raised alarm bells in Hapoel, and some media outlets have been reporting in recent days that coach Dimitris Itudis is on the verge of leaving. It is certain that nothing will come of it, as the club's management gave their full support to their coach at today's meeting.
"You have our full support. You brought us to the Euroleague and you will get us out of this situation," is the message from the people of Hapoel Itudis, Israeli media reported.
Hapoel plays its next match on Thursday, in Kaunas, against Zalgiris in the 28th round of the Euroleague.
