The first game in the playoffs and a very important victory for the SC Derby basketball team - a triumph that could significantly increase their chances in the fight for survival in the ABA League.
The Podgorica team defeated Spartak 83:77 at home, which is their fourth triumph in the regional competition, after three victories from the league stage.
Behind the chosen ones, Petar Mijović, is perhaps the most mature game of the season and a match that they broke through in the third quarter when they created an advantage that they preserved without major problems until the end with excellent solutions in attack and good defense.
So with four and a half minutes left, they ran out to a plus 10 lead, when it was clear that the "students" were pushing for success, and it was 83:70...
The tandem Matic Rebec - Aleksa Ilić was unstoppable for the team led by former Buducnost Volija coach Vlade Jovanović - scoring more than half of SC Derby's points (23 each), and Nikola Pavlićević also had double-digit performance with 10 points.
For Spartak, the most efficient player was Olivier Hanlan with 22, Montenegrin national team player Igor Drobnjak scored 16, while another of our international players, Danilo Nikolić, scored seven.
