The first semi-finalist of the Montenegrin Basketball Cup is SC Derbi - the "students" defeated Primorje today in Bijelo Polje in the quarterfinals - 102:69.
From the first minute, the "students" led, turning the game around in the second quarter, so in the second half, coach Petar Mijović distributed the minutes, gave all the players a chance and rested the starters.
SC Derbi was mostly scoring from the racket at the start through Aleksa Ilić, and later Filip Andjušić, so a minute before the end of the first quarter they had a double-digit lead for the first time - 22:12.
Primorje then made a 7:0 run and reduced the lead to 22:19, but SC Derby responded quickly, controlling the match and gaining an 11-point lead after Ilić's points (40:29), and going into the break with a 13-point lead - 50:37.
There was no further uncertainty, SC Derbi advanced to the semifinals, where they will play the winner of the match between Budućnost Voli and Lovćen (15.30). The other quarterfinal pairs are: Jedinstvo - Kotor (18) and Mornar - Sutjeska (20.30).
The most efficient player for SC Derby today was Filip Andjusic with 22 points. Aleksa Ilic had 19, and Matic Rebec 13. Zoran Vuceljic and Nikola Pavlicevic finished the match with 12 points each, and Mateo Drežnjak with 10 points.
SC Derby basketball player Darius Johnson left the game after almost two minutes because he complained of pain and did not return to the court.
Primorje played today without two of their best players - Ognjen Mićović and Aleksandar Danilović. Pavle Đurišić, who recently arrived in Hereg Novi, was also absent from the team, and the most efficient player was Marko Grković with 17 points. Jovan Šljivančanin had 12 and Nikola Rakočević 10 points.
