Montenegrin basketball player Nikola Vučević played his best match since arriving in Boston, recording a double-double, and the Celtics outclassed the Brooklyn Nets on home court - 148:111.
This was Vučević's eighth game since arriving in Boston, and the third in which he achieved a double-double - in 25 minutes he scored 28 points (9/13 from the field, 3/3 for three-pointers), and also had 11 rebounds, four assists and one block.
Boston led from the start, and after the first quarter had a three-point advantage (35:32). At halftime it was plus nine (66:57), and the question of the winner was resolved in the third quarter, when Boston made a 12:0 run and led 94:86.
In addition to Vučević, Jaylen Brown also had 28 points for Boston, while on the other side, Michael Porter Jr. was the most efficient with 18 points.
Oklahoma defeated Denver 127:121 in overtime. The Nuggets had a six-point lead (105:99) with three minutes left in the fourth quarter, then Oklahoma went on an 8:0 run to take a 107:105 lead. On the other side, Nikola Jokić tied the game (107:107), and the match went into overtime, with Oklahoma leading from the start.
The game was also marked by an incident at the beginning of the last quarter. The first defender, Lou Dort, hit Nikola Jokić, and the Serbian basketball player started a fight. Jalen Williams wanted to protect his teammate, so Jokić entered the clinch with him. After watching the video, the referees excluded Dort, and gave technicals to Jokić and Williams.
For Oklahoma, the most efficient player was Shay Gilges Alexander, who returned to the court after three weeks and finished the game with 36 points and nine assists.
Against Denver, Jokić had a triple-double - 23 points, 17 rebounds and 14 assists. Jokić shot 9/25 from the field. Jamal Murray had 39 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
