Sutjeska's basketball players will host Sloboda from Tuzla tonight (20:30) in the final round of the ABA2 league - if they win, the team from Nikšić will win first place in the regular season and will have home court advantage until the end of the playoffs.
Sutjeska has achieved six wins and one loss so far this season, while Sloboda is 4-3 and has a chance to qualify for the playoffs.
"I think the important and most important games are yet to come. The fact is that the game is important, because it can secure us first place and home field advantage until the end of the playoffs. For us, it is just one game in a row, which we want to play to the maximum and give our all, as we have done so far. I think we are in for a very difficult and uncertain game. God forbid I am wrong, that it could be different, but there was a break. We are entering this game with a clear goal to win and we will do everything we need to make it so," said Sutjeska coach Marko Simonović.
Simonović hopes for the support of the fans.
"I hope the stands will be full. I appeal to everyone to come," said Simonović.
Miloš Vujović points out that the team enjoyed the break, in order to better prepare for the rest of the season.
"We had plenty of time to prepare, everyone enjoyed the international break. We have an experienced team coming, with good individuals. We have an important match ahead of us, where with a win we can secure first place and home field advantage until the end of the playoffs. We expect a full stadium and great support from our fans," Miloš Vujović pointed out.
Goran Gajović points out that Sutjeska is focused and ready for the upcoming match.
"The last match of the regular season of the ABA2 league. With a win, we secure first place and home field advantage until the end of the playoffs. We are ready to welcome the game. Sloboda is a good and quality team, but we are focused, we analyze our game and it depends on what kind of game it will be. I expect the fans to come in as many numbers as possible, to support us and to register a victory together and celebrate properly," concluded Gajović.
When it comes to other Montenegrin teams, Podgorica lost to Helios at home last night after overtime (99:93), Primorje was better away from Student (96:93), while Mornar will be visiting Zlatibor tomorrow (20).
