Young Montenegrin basketball player David Mirković continues to excel in the NCAA League, and tonight he was most responsible for Illinois' away win over Maryland 78:72.
Mirković spent 35 minutes on the court and during that time had a double-double performance of 22 points (9/13 from the field) and 11 rebounds, along with three assists and one steal.
The young player from Nikšić scored at least 20 points in a single NCAA League match for the fourth time tonight, and achieved his seventh double-double of the season.
Mirković averages 13,2 points and 7,8 rebounds in the NCAA League.
Andrej Stojaković and Zvonimir Ivišić each had eight points, and Tomislav Ivišić had four points.
It secured Illinois a direct berth in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament.
