SC Derby basketball players are still at the bottom of the ABA League table, after losing in the second round of the playoffs.
Mega was better than Podgorica in New Belgrade (90:76) in a match in which Petar Mijović's team was down for 40 minutes, threatened on several occasions, but was realistically far from turning the tables.
In the "Ranko Žeravica" Sports Hall, Mega took a 16-point lead in the first quarter (25:9), but the "students" went on a 10:0 run to reach 25:19.
The home team went into the break with a 47:33 lead, and Petar Mijović's team was down by a single digit (nine) only twice in the second half, while missing the last chance to get back into the match with four and a half minutes left, when the score was 80:70.
Then Hunter Din was called for an offensive foul, then Mega eliminated all doubts with a 4:0 mini series...
The Podgorica team has Nikola Pavlićević with 19 points, Matic Rebec and Aleksa Ilić each scored 12, and Emir Hadžibegović 10...
Derby shares last place in the standings with Split with a score of 4-14, Vienna has one more win, and Krka and Ilirija are on a score of 6-12.
Podgorica will be visiting Vienna on Sunday, then playing at home against Ilirija.
