Journalist provokes Simonović with "sixth player", while Sutjeska's coach praises Sloboda and Tuzla

Two clean wins for the semifinals of the Second ABA League - Sutjeska basketball players eliminated Sloboda in two quarterfinal matches.

It was interesting on the court in both duels, but also after the game in Tuzla at the press conference.

Marko Simonović, the coach of Nikšić, was somewhat unfairly asked by local journalists after the match whether it was easier for Sutjeska to defeat Sloboda twice with six players.

The strategist of the Montenegrin club obviously didn't hear the provocation and that the whole allusion was to the referees' help, so he talked sports about Sloboda, Tuzla and the fans...

"I wouldn't talk much about my team, I would talk more about the rival. I congratulate you from the bottom of my heart on everything that Sloboda has done. That is for all due respect, the coach is doing a great job. The guys have a fighting character, they play phenomenally and it was a pleasure to watch this game. I would like this hall to be even fuller and for the audience to support these guys even more, because they deserve it," said Simonović.

The journalist, however, did not give up, so he told Simonović that he had not answered his question and then once again emphasized the "help of the sixth player".

All of this surprised coach Sutjeska.

"Please, don't talk about those things... I'm talking about basketball, I'm talking about the audience and I'm praising Sloboda, and you're like... That's total nonsense, don't ask me anything. That's ridiculous and rude of you. Instead of congratulating me... Truly below par," Simonović said and left the press conference.
