EuroLeague President Dejan Bodiroga said goodbye to legendary coach Duško Vujošević, who passed away today at the age of 68, noting that basketball has lost one of its most important experts.
"European and Serbian basketball have lost one of the most passionate minds and most dedicated teachers. Vujošević was a man of basketball, a mentor and a symbol of integrity and dedication to the game. His influence shaped generations of players and coaches, leaving an indelible mark on our sport," Bodiroga said, as reported by Euroleague.
He extended his condolences to family, friends and everyone who had the opportunity to work with Vujošević.
"His legacy will live on every court, on every team, and in every young player who continues his love of basketball," said the Euroleague president.
The Euroleague announced that the remaining matches of Round 36, as well as all matches of Round 37, will begin with a minute of silence.
"A minute of silence will be held before tonight's games and the 37th round matches to pay tribute to Vujošević and his incredible legacy," the Euroleague said in a statement.
