KSCG bid farewell to Vujošević: More than a selector and advisor - a sincere friend; Grateful for being a part of our lives

For Montenegrin basketball, Duško Vujošević was not just a selector and advisor, but a sincere friend who was always there to help the national team, clubs and players progress in every sense with wise advice and dedicated work - the Basketball Association of Montenegro said.

They paid their last respects to the legendary coach and first head coach of our national team, who passed away today at the age of 68.

"The entire basketball world mourns the passing of one of the most influential and respected coaches in the region and beyond, an expert who not only won numerous trophies, but also created many players, paving the way for them to reach basketball heights," added the KSCG.

Our basketball house reminded us of Vujošević's entire career, his great successes with clubs, that he was an advisor at SC Derby, and that he led the Montenegrin national team from 2007 to 2010.

"He then qualified for EuroBasket 2011 with all eight wins in the group, after which he remained in the position of advisor to the next coach Dejan Radonjić. He previously led the national teams of Yugoslavia and Serbia and Montenegro, and with the junior selection of Yugoslavia he was the European champion in 1988," say the KSCG.

They emphasized that Duško Vujošević was a coach with vision and a dedicated teacher, a man of broad interests and a basketball enthusiast.

"A man of integrity. We received the news of his passing with sadness, we remember with gratitude that he was a part of our lives. May he have eternal glory," concluded the KSCG.
