Celebrated basketball coach Duško Vujošević was buried today in the Alley of Meritorious Citizens at the New Cemetery in Belgrade.

The legendary Partizan coach passed away last Sunday at the age of 68 after a long and serious illness.

The funeral was attended by numerous basketball players, coaches and basketball workers such as Željko Obradović, Predrag Danilović, Aleksandar Đorđević, Žarko Paspalj, Zoran Slavnić, Vlado Šćepanović, Slavko Vraneš, Zvezdan Mitrović, Đuro Ostojić, Luka Pavićević, Miroslav Berić, Mlađan Šilobad, Novica Veličković, Dušan Kecman, Dragan Bokan, Danilo Mitrović and Vesko Barović.

"Dule dedicated his life to Partizan. Thank you to Partizan for sending Dule off the way he deserved, with dignity and with a lot of emotion. Special thanks to the Partizan fans for the love you and the General shared for the club. I hope that this city will deserve to have a street named after Duško Vujošević. That is the least this city can do for him," said Tadić.
