Buducnost Bemax's dominance continues, new double crown without defeat in the season

The Budućnost Bemax basketball team won a new title as champions of Montenegro, after they convincingly defeated the Sea Stars team in the second match of the final series tonight. The Podgorica team celebrated in Tivat 123:73, thus reaching their 14th title in a row, 16th overall, and continued their dominance as they finished the season on the domestic stage with a double crown for the 12th time in a row, without a defeat!

The "Vučice" turned the match on their side early, taking a 24:4 lead, and after team rotations, briefly allowed the Tivat team to fall back to a single-digit deficit, but soon regained control and settled everything at halftime (68:36).

The most efficient players in the new-old national champion team were Atina Radević with 27, and Ksenija Šćepanović and Janja Dragišić with 23 points each, with Šćepanović even coming close to a triple-double with 12 rebounds and nine assists, for an index of as much as 44. In the home team, Tanja Hill scored 23 points, and Sofija Vučković 17.

In addition to the impressive Buducnost, Sea Stars can also be satisfied with the season, because in their first appearance in the senior competition, the team from Tivat played in the finals of both competitions, the Montenegrin Cup and the championship playoffs.

The champions were awarded the cup by the Secretary General of the KSCG, Darko Ivanović, and the gold medals by Budimir Vukić, President of the KSCG Competition Commission, and Mirjana Sekulić, Commissioner of the First A Women's League. The silver medals were awarded by Olivera Mišković Vidojević, Secretary for Social Affairs of the Municipality of Tivat.
