SC Derby in Ljubljana, Mijović: I believe we are ready to come back with points

SC Derbija basketball players continue their fight for survival in the AdmiralBet ABA League - the "students" have two more games to play before the end of the play-offs, the first of which is tomorrow (13) in Ljubljana against Ilirija.

SC Derbi is currently in the penultimate place in the table with a score of 7-17 and has one more win and a better head-to-head record than last place Split, who will be visiting Megi on Monday (19). Petar Mijović's team will also monitor what Borac from Čačak and Vienna are doing, who have one more win and a better head-to-head record - Borac is visiting Spartak tonight (19), and Vienna is playing against FMP on Monday (17) in Belgrade.

"We have another important match ahead of us, points worth surviving, against a team that has been one of the most pleasant surprises in the league with its games throughout the season. This is a very well-balanced team, in which Boban Marjanović, Petar Popović and Edo Murić, with their experience and quality, further raise the level of play of the younger and talented players," said SC Derbija coach Petar Mijović in the match announcement.

SC Derbi would definitely secure at least a playoff spot with a win, and then wait for the outcome and hope that in the final round they might be able to secure direct survival.

"On the other hand, we want to continue the fight for survival with a victory. It won't be easy, but I believe we are ready, both tactically and psychologically, to meet the task and return from Ljubljana with points," said Mijović.

The task is clear - to win in the capital of Slovenia.

"We are going to win the next game. We are in a situation where in the last two rounds we decide for ourselves and our status in the ABA League. The game will not be easy, but we know our opponent well, their strengths and weaknesses. I believe that if we play hard and aggressively, with a lot of self-confidence and faith in victory, we can hope for a positive outcome," emphasized the "students" basketball player, Matic Rebec.
