Miodrag Kadija is no longer the coach of Podgorica, the club from the capital announced.
Kadija took over the helm of Podgorica at the end of July last year, and then a one-season cooperation was agreed upon.
Podgorica finished the season in sixth place in the First Montenegrin Basketball League, while in the ABA2 League it was in 15th position.
"We owe Miodrag Kadija great gratitude for his dedicated work. Although we were faced with personnel problems throughout the season, namely numerous injuries and frequent player departures, Miodrag Kadija managed to bring the team, which was close to the danger zone, to the edge of the play-in with a fairly small roster. Although he only led our team for one season, Kadija left a special mark on our club, and in working with the younger players, who progressed with him during the season, he made a special contribution, for which we are especially grateful," Podgorica announced.
The club announced that after a challenging season, they are determined to further rejuvenate the team and maximize the recognition of their younger players, without the imperative of results.
