"28 by 28": Buducnost basketball players travel to Cluj - European perspective of the regional league quarterfinals

It's not the Eurocup, but the regional ABA League, but for the basketball players, Budućnost Volija has the experience of a European tour; and a European breakthrough.

The Podgorica club's expedition traveled this morning on a charter flight from AIR Montenegro to Cluj, Romania, where they will play the second match of the ABA League quarterfinal series against the host team of the same name tonight (19 p.m. local time).

Andrej Žakelj's team wants to finish the job in Romania, after winning the first match in Podgorica, played three days ago, 86:73.

They want to reach the semifinals, where another regional rival, only on paper, would be waiting for them - Dubai.

"28 by 28" - symbolically, the basketball players and coaching staff of Buducnost took pictures in front of a plane branded by the Government of Montenegro before takeoff.

"Future for the future," the Podgorica club announced.

Our country should become the 28th member of the European Union in 2028.
