The pioneer selection of BC Slavija won the title of champion of Montenegro at the final tournament in the boys' under-14 competition, which was held in Nikšić.
The success of the Podgorica club is even more significant, knowing that they reached the finals as the fourth-placed team in the league part of the season. Coach Aleksandar Veković's team played two excellent matches in Nikšić, and in the exciting final they defeated Buducnost Voli 79:75, with as many as 55 points from captain Petar Bulatović! In addition to him, Sava Mijatović also scored in double figures with 13 points, and for Buducnost, captain Strahinja Jeremić scored 22 points, Rade Peličić 19, and Lazar Ćorac 16 points. Slavija previously eliminated the first-placed team in the league part, Nikšić Basket, in the semifinals 85:72, and Petar Bulatović scored as many as 60 points in that match.
In the game for third place, Nikšić Basket beat Anagastum 93:86, and Ognjen Đurović scored 44 points for the winning team.
Petar Bulatović from Slavia was deservedly named the best player and top scorer of the tournament, and was presented with the awards by the Secretary General of the Basketball Association, Darko Ivanović. The medals were awarded to the winners by the famous basketball player Milica Jovanović, and the cup to the winning team by the competition commissioner, Maja Milutinović.
