Spanish expert Ibon Navarro is the new coach of the Red Star basketball team, the Belgrade club announced.
Navarro arrives in Belgrade from Unicaja, with whom he won seven trophies.
Born on April 30, 1976 in Vitoria, Navarro began his coaching career in the youth categories of Baskonia.
He got his first opportunity as a head coach at Baskonia, after which he managed Manresa, Murcia and Andorra.
He achieved his greatest successes on the bench of Unicaja, which he took over in 2022.
Under his leadership, the Malaga club won two FIBA Champions League titles, two Intercontinental Cups, two Copa del Rey titles and the Spanish Super Cup.
