The central celebration and victory parade for the New York Knicks' third title in history will be held in Manhattan on Thursday. The Knicks have been waiting for a title since 1973, and today they took revenge on San Antonio for their loss in the 1999 Finals.
Immediately after winning the series (4:1, 94.90), the Knicks headed to New York, followed by a large crowd of their fans.
Almost half of the Frost Bank Center in Texas was cheering for the Knicks, as they bought as many as 45 percent of the tickets, some of which were priced at a million dollars!
"We apologize to New York for waiting so long for the title, we hope the next one will come very soon," said James Dolan, owner of the Knicks since 1999.
And the NBA leadership is rubbing their hands, according to the survey after the fourth game, the final series between the Knicks and the Spurs attracted the largest audience.
As many as eight billion viewers viewed the game across all social media platforms – the highest number in NBA Finals history (the previous record was 6,2 billion views in 2025).
Game 4 was watched by a record three billion viewers, and NBA-related topics were the number one global trend on Platform X for eight hours straight.
Considering that the live broadcast and viewing of the last game in the series cost $12,99, it best illustrates why the NBA league is called the richest in the world.
