The Greek basketball player will not change his position - Kostas Papanikolaou has extended his cooperation with Olympiacos, the club announced.
Papanikolaou has extended his contract until 2028.
Papanikolaou began his playing career at Aris, and then played for Olympiacos from 2009 to 2013. He wore the jersey of Barcelona, Houston and Denver, and returned to Olympiacos in 2016.
"Papanikolau is not just the captain of our team. He is an athlete who, with his character and dedication, has left his mark on the club and has become a reference for all who wear the Olympiacos jersey. The extension of our cooperation is a natural continuation of our common journey, which has brought many great moments for this club. With the same values and the same ambition, we continue towards new successes," Olympiacos announced.
Papanikolaou won a total of 18 trophies with Olympiacos in two terms.
Last season in the Euroleague, he averaged 2,9 points and 1,8 rebounds per game.
