Vanja Mudreša selected for FIBA ​​coaching programs

Vanja Mudreša was selected among five coaches for the FIBA ​​Europe Women's Basketball Summit 2026 and the one-year FIBA ​​Europe mentorship program.

Vanja Mudreša, recently visited Postojna (Slovenia), where she participated in the FIBA ​​Europe Women's Basketball Summit 2026, one of the most important development programs of FIBA ​​Europe intended for promising female coaches and referees. The program brings together selected participants from all over Europe who, through expert lectures, practical workshops and exchange of experiences with top international experts, have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and develop a professional network of contacts.

A special recognition is the fact that after the Summit, Vanja was selected among five coaches who will be part of a special FIBA ​​Europe mentoring program for the next year. The mentoring program involves continuous work with experienced European experts through regular online meetings, exchange of experiences and monitoring of individual coach development. Participants will have the opportunity to visit some of the best European clubs and work with their coaching staffs, as well as to stay in Spain and get to know the work of one of the leading basketball academies for the development of junior teams, where they will learn about modern methods of developing young players through practical work.

The selection to participate in this program represents a great recognition for the work, dedication and continuous improvement to date, but also confirmation that Montenegrin coaches can be an equal part of the most important development projects of European basketball. The knowledge, experience and contacts gained through mentoring programs like this can make a significant contribution to the further development of women's basketball in Montenegro.
