Bojan Tomašević strengthens Patrioti Levica

Montenegrin basketball player Bojan Tomašević continues his career with the Slovak Patrioti Levica.

The power forward joins the Slovak champions from the Hungarian Duna Kecskemet, where he averaged 15,2 points and 6,2 rebounds last season.

"I made the decision to move to Patrioti Levice easily. I knew I was joining a great organization, a club with history. I believe this is the best step in continuing my career. I spoke with coach Madžin, who presented me with his ambitions for the next season. I really liked it and I can't wait for the new season to start. I'm coming with the goal of helping the club achieve its ambitions. I want to further improve and progress as a basketball player," said Tomašević after being introduced to the new club.

Tomašević briefly played in the youth categories of Partizan, where he arrived from Montenegro in Nikšić, and then strengthened the youth categories of Red Star. He appeared in junior tournaments of the Euroleague, while in senior basketball he played for Dinamik, Borac from Čačak and FMP, from where he went to Hungary. He passed the junior national team of the Montenegrin selection, and in 2017 he was part of the generation that won the European silver medal in the cadet competition in Podgorica, led by coach Mladen Ostojić. He was in the ideal five of that competition. Last year he was in the senior national team at the European Championship.

"We wanted to bring Bojan last winter, but it was impossible at the time. He is an experienced basketball player, he played in the ABA League, while he established himself in Hungary. He is a modern type of player at the four position, he has a good shot from distance and I think he will fit well into our team," said the general manager of the Slovak champion Ladislav Garaj.

The Patriots will play in the Champions League qualifiers next season.
