After a season spent in Buducnost, Zoran Nikolić is starting a new adventure. Although there was talk of staying with the Podgorica club, newly-signed Abaliga player Slovan Bratislava introduced the experienced Montenegrin center as a new signing.
As a reminder, Slovan will participate in the ABA League for the first time next season. The club from Bratislava will play in Group A, which also includes Buducnost. Also included are Red Star Belgrade, Igokea, Cedevita Olimpija, Cibona, FMP, Borac, Široki and Krka.
"The experienced Montenegrin national team player has ranked among the top ten blockers in the history of the ABA League during his career. We believe he will be an important part of our team in the club's first season in the regional competition," the Slovak club wrote.
This was Nikolić's third term in the blue and white jersey, and in the ABA League he averaged 4,2 points and 3,2 rebounds.
In addition to Buducnost, the 30-year-old center played for Prat, Juventud, Mega, Le Portel, Igokea, Vojvodina and SC Derby.
