Vienna's basketball players, led by coach Dragan Bajić, have begun preparations for the new season, and starting this season, the ABA League team's coaching staff includes Montenegrin coach Boško Bošković.
Bošković has been on the Sutjeska coaching staff since the 2016/2017 season, and was the head coach of the first team in the second part of the 2024/2025 season, when he succeeded Dragan Bajić, with whom he will now collaborate in the Austrian capital.
The Nikšić native is also a member of the coaching staff of the Montenegrin national basketball team - he was on the coaching staff of Boško Radović, and then Andrej Žakelj and Zvezdan Mitrović.
He was a member of the coaching staff of the U20 Montenegrin national basketball team at the European Championship in Israel in 2019.
Vienna managed to survive in the ABA League last season, which was the team's goal. Bajić was the club's sports director last season, and as of this season he has been the coach, succeeding Majko Kofina in that position.
Vienna will play three friendly matches (against Igokea, Zenit and Inter Bratislava) during the preparation period, and will participate in a tournament in Hungary.
In the new season, Dragan Bajić's team will play in the ABA League and the Austrian Championship, as well as in the FIBA Champions League qualifiers. Their rival in the round of 16 in Samokov, Bulgaria, is the Greek Promiteas. If they do not qualify for the Champions League, Vienna will continue the season in the FIBA Europe Cup.
In the new ABA League season, the Austrian team is in Group B, which includes SC Derbi, Partizan, Dubai, Mega, Bosna, Ilirija, Spartak, Cluj and Zadar.
