The Montenegrin national basketball team will play its World Cup qualifier match against Ukraine at the "M:tel Morača Hall", after the hall passed inspection on Thursday.
The match Montenegro – Ukraine is scheduled for August 31st at 8:30 PM.
After the roof leaked during the hall's reconstruction, there was a dilemma as to whether the parquet would be repaired on time, but after a detailed inspection carried out by the national team director Dragan Vukčević, as a representative of the Federation, it was determined that the hall would be fully ready for the match.
"We would especially like to highlight the enormous effort and commitment of the Sports Facilities, led by Director Miljan Ivanović, who made maximum efforts to get the hall ready and ready for this important sporting event in record time after the flood. We would also like to express our special gratitude to Director Ivanović for the exceptional commitment, dedicated work and effort that he and his team put into getting the hall ready for the match," said Vukčević after the inspection.
Montenegro opens the second round of World Cup qualifiers with an away match against Georgia (August 28).
Ahead of the start of the second round, Montenegro and Ukraine are tied at 4-2, Spain is leading at 5-1, while Georgia, Greece and Portugal are tied at 3-3.
Three teams from the group will qualify for the World Cup, which will be played in Qatar next year.
