A great football legend is entering the world of basketball - Francesco Totti will be an advisor to Polo Matijašić, president of Maksim Roma.

Totti will also be responsible for developing the fan base and socially responsible actions.

"I wanted inspiration and I wanted a new challenge. The role that was offered to me immediately attracted me. I am very happy to be part of the project and thank the club for having confidence in me. We want to give Rome and the Romans a basketball club that they can support, identify with and be proud of. That is why I agreed to be an advisor," said Francesco Totti.

The club announced the collaboration with Totti with an emotional message on social media, in which it emphasized that the city has always looked beyond its borders, and that a new chapter begins with a man who carried Rome in his heart throughout his entire career.

Maxima Roma will play in the Eurocup next season, and is in Group A with Tenerife, London Lions, Šiauliai, Frankfurt Skyliners, Turk Telekom, Cluj and Venice.

And the club will have another football player as an ambassador - Ciro Immobile.
