The international training camp for female boxers in Budva brought together Olympic and world champions, representatives of five countries who have won medals at the largest international competitions, the Boxing Federation announced.

It is stated that boxers from Turkey, Morocco, Afghanistan, Serbia and Montenegro will train at the Splendid Hotel in Becici until March 5th.

It was announced that, in addition to exchanging extensive international experience, the main goal of the camp is to better prepare for the IBA World Senior Women's Championship, which will be hosted by Niš from March 8th to 17th.

Montenegro coach Nikola Ružić said that they have ideal working conditions at the Splendid Hotel, starting with the training zone, food and all additional supporting activities related to serious preparation.

"Olympic, world and continental champions are participating in the camp and I think it is unnecessary to say how much it benefits everyone present. Our Bojana Gojković is in full process and I am convinced that all of this will have a great impact on her form. I would like to thank the presidents of BSCG and BSS, Aleksandar Klemenko and Nenad Borovčanin, for providing us with such conditions for work and improvement," said Ružić.

The prize pool at the IBA Women's Boxing World Championship in Niš is 2,5 million USD.

The world champion will win 100 thousand, the loser in the final 50, while the bronze medals will be awarded 25 thousand USD each.

Serbia coach Mirko Ždralo said that they have fond memories of Budva and that they won major European medals in that city.

"We managed to make the camp even better by having exceptional national teams from Morocco and Turkey respond to our invitation, including Olympic and world champions. This will be of great importance for our girls' preparations," said Ždralo.

The organizers of the international camp are the Boxing Federations of Serbia and Montenegro.
