Montenegrin judoka Novo Raičević won silver, while Nikola Gardašević lost the bronze medal match at the European Cup in Podgorica.
Raičević reached the finals in the 90 kg category after four triumphs.
He eliminated Hedar Ibab El Ashi from Bulgaria, Marko Jovanović from Serbia, Dutchman Gilles De Bruyne and Russian Astemir Abazov.
In the final match, he was defeated by Russian Rolan Kunyzhev after 23 seconds of fighting.
Gardašević also had an excellent performance in the 81 kilogram category, but had to settle for fifth place.
He was defeated in the semifinals by the gold medalist, Muhamed Koc from Turkey, while he lost to Aleksandar Loladze in the bronze medal match.
Slobodan Vukić was also stopped one step away from a medal, losing to Briton Wesley Greenidge in the bronze medal match in the 100 kg category.
Edvin Čivović (under 60) and Anto Dubreta (over 100) finished in seventh place.
The European Cup will be a dress rehearsal for the European Senior Championships, which will be organized in Podgorica from April 23rd to 27th.
