The European Judo Championships, which are being held in Podgorica, were officially opened today at the "Morača" Sports Center.
On the second day of the competition, Montenegrin national team player Jahja Nurković finished his performance in the second round.
Nurković effectively defeated Moldovan Vlad Mitru in the first round of the 73 kg category today. In the second round, in a close match, he was defeated by Otavi Kvantidze from Portugal.
Nikola and Nebojša Gardašević are scheduled to compete tomorrow in the 81 kg category and Novi Raičević in the 90 kg category.
Nikola will face the winner of the duel between Georgi Gramatikov from Bulgaria and Dos Santos from Luxembourg, while Nebojša will face Hristo Valkov from Bulgaria. Raičević will face Alex Bart from Slovakia.
In the over 100 kg category, Slobodan Vukić's rival on Saturday will be Movli Borchašvili from Austria. Jovana Peković (under 78) and Jovana Mrvaljević (over 78 kg) are also scheduled to compete on Saturday.
Peković will fight with Ana Monta Olek from Germany, and Mrvaljević with Marija Holevart from Austria.
On the final day of the championship, Sunday, a team competition is scheduled, in which the Montenegrin national team will make its debut.
On the first day of competition, in the 66 kg category, Petar Radović was eliminated yesterday in the second round, and Jusuf Nurković in the first round.
